Lavaux in spring
As winter fades away, the vineyards come to life with the appearance of buds and the first vine leaves. The hillsides are transformed into vibrant greenery filled with flowers. Spring is a crucial moment in the annual cycle of vineyard management, marking the start of a journey that will culminate in the harvest in early autumn. Pruning and trellising (tying the vines horizontally on wires) were completed a few weeks ago. Vines are extremely fragile at this stage of their growth, and the risk of frost damage is a real threat.
