Epesses Sauvignon blanc

In 1992, the Massy family pioneered the planting of Sauvignon Blanc on the Lavaux hillsides. This grape variety, still uncommon in the region, was imported directly from the Sancerre region by Luc Massy. Today, we produce around a thousand bottles of Sauvignon Blanc per vintage.

This confidential cuvée has evolved a great deal; we now vinify our Sauvignon in ovoid vats without malolactic fermentation, in order to preserve and accentuate the aromas and characteristic freshness of this grape variety.

At Epesses, this wine develops its characteristic varietal aromas of grapefruit, blackcurrant buds and cut grass. On the palate, lively aromas and freshness combine with a supple, fruity texture.
